Consolidate shipments from Chinese suppliers
Plan the collection of goods from several suppliers into a coordinated shipment. Consolidation needs accurate packing data, readiness dates and a receiving plan.
Collect supplier packing data
Request carton counts, external dimensions, gross weight and a product list for each supplier. Identify fragile, liquid, battery or other items requiring special handling. Confirm the proposed transporter's acceptance before goods are sent.
Align readiness dates
One late supplier can delay a combined shipment. Confirm receiving dates, storage charges, free storage periods and the release deadline. Discuss whether an incomplete shipment should wait or ship separately.
Keep goods identifiable
Use supplier and order references on cartons. Agree receiving checks, any repacking and the final packing list. Combining cargo does not remove the need for correct product descriptions, shipping documents or destination import requirements.
