To compare wall-mounted shelf quotations from China, specify the shelf, brackets, mounting hardware, intended wall type and packing arrangement as one purchasing package. A product photograph and an unsupported load number are not enough to establish equivalence between offers. This public market sourcing guide is an original buyer checklist, not a OneBuyDesk customer case, supplier endorsement or report of tested product performance.
Start with a clear mounting scope
A supplier-contributed installation article on Baidu Aicaigou highlights identifying the wall material and choosing a suitable fixing method. Treat that as a question to resolve for each model, rather than a universal installation instruction. Ask the seller to identify which wall conditions its quoted assembly is intended for, which fixings are supplied, and which conditions are excluded. Have installation suitability reviewed by an appropriately qualified person for the intended application. This guide does not prescribe drilling dimensions, anchor selection or a safe load.
Build a specification that makes prices comparable
Prepare a drawing showing overall width, depth, shelf thickness, bracket positions and the usable storage area. Ask every bidder to state the quoted material, finish, colour reference and unit weight. Separate a shelf-only price from a complete kit price. List the number of brackets, screws, anchors, covers and any assembly tools included. Where the shelf has a front lip, side rail or removable basket, identify those components individually. Ask the supplier to describe substitutions before a purchase order is agreed; a similar photograph does not establish identical construction.
Ask what supports a load claim
Request the supplier's product-specific evidence and ask what was tested: the complete assembly or an individual component, the wall or supporting structure, the fixings, the loading arrangement and the duration. Ask whether the reported outcome applies to the exact dimensions and hardware in the quotation. Record unanswered questions instead of copying a prominent kilogram figure into a sales listing. Agree any independent evaluation scope with a competent test provider before making a performance statement. An installation demonstration or a marketplace badge does not replace that evaluation.
Use a sample record that can be repeated
Assign an identifier to the sample and keep the supplier model reference with it. Record dimensions at the agreed measurement points and compare the component list against the quotation. Photograph bracket interfaces, visible welds or joints, finish variations, sharp exposed edges and any missing parts. Record observations as observations; do not describe a sample as certified or production-approved simply because it looks acceptable. Separate appearance approval from any unresolved structural or destination-specific requirements. Keep a change log when the seller proposes another finish, bracket or material.
Specify packaging around the actual kit
Ask how the shelf and its metal hardware are separated inside the package. Request protection for exposed corners and finished surfaces, a clearly identified hardware bag, a parts list and installation information appropriate for the destination. Confirm the number of retail sets per export carton, whether shelves nest, and the packed carton dimensions and gross weight. Ask for a packed-sample photograph before approving the arrangement. Agree packaging validation separately where the transport route or sales channel requires it; do not assume that an attractive retail box is suitable for shipment.
Make the commercial comparison visible
Use one comparison sheet with columns for model, material, dimensions, complete-kit contents, sample charge, minimum order, quotation currency, delivery basis, lead time, packing and unresolved evidence. Prices, minimum orders and production timing remain unverified until a supplier provides an applicable quotation. Confirm what the delivery basis includes before comparing totals. A lower price with missing hardware or different packing is a different offer, not automatically a saving. Keep public seller discovery separate from the decision to approve a supplier.
Copyable RFQ starting point
Please quote your wall-mounted shelf model for our intended destination and use. Provide a dimensioned drawing, material and finish specification, complete component list, intended mounting conditions and exclusions, and any product-specific evidence supporting performance claims. State sample terms, minimum order, unit price and currency, delivery basis, production lead time, retail packing, sets per carton, carton dimensions and gross weight. Identify any difference between your offered model and our reference. Do not substitute materials or mounting components without written agreement.
Release checklist
Before progressing, confirm that the model identity is stable, the complete kit is specified, mounting questions have an assigned reviewer, unsupported claims are removed, sample observations are documented, and packing and quotation conditions are agreed. These are proposed purchasing controls, not proof that a particular supplier or product has passed them. No current selling price, sales volume or approved supplier is asserted in this guide.
