How to find suitable Chinese suppliers

Step 1

Search by specification, not only by a broad product name. Identify whether a supplier makes the item or resells it.

Step 2

Ask for product-specific evidence: specifications, sample options, minimum quantity and relevant documents.

Step 3

Check that quotations describe the same product and packaging. A much lower price needs an explanation before it is treated as a saving.

Step 4

Keep a shortlist and test the communication process with a detailed sample request. A responsive conversation is useful evidence, but it is not a guarantee.
